Learn business strategies, how to improve the balance of your work and personal life, and the best way to present yourself at the 3rd annual San Diego Business Summit.

Debra Rosen, CEO and President of the North San Diego Chamber of Commerce, said, “The business world has changed dramatically over the past three years, and this summit will focus on panel discussions and keynote presentations to bring us all together. into today’s business world.”

The Chamber of Commerce in Rancho Bernardo is organizing the event.

“There will be many opportunities to network and build circles of influence, while gaining valuable insights into ways to stimulate career growth,” Rosen said.

The event will be held on Wednesday, January 1st from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Sony headquarters in Rancho Bernardo on the 25th. It can be attended in person or virtually.

Keynote speakers will be Richard Marks, founder and president of RDM Management Group; and Kate Tellers, senior director of The Moth and director of MothWorks.

“Our keynotes are chosen specifically for the value they bring to the conference,” Rosen said. “Kate Tellers will walk us through an interactive demo on how to write your story, and Richard Marks will deliver his inspiring message about expecting great things to happen.”

Marks’ presentation will revolve around the five core principles of effective business people. It is aimed at all levels of business professionals, from entry-level and middle management to advanced. His presentation will revolve around creating a healthy life balance so people can excel in their careers and enjoy their personal lives, according to the event’s website.

Tellers will focus on how people can best tell a story, whether it’s a successful job interview, building their business, impressing clients at a business dinner, or speaking at a personal event like a wedding toast or funeral eulogy. Interactive sessions will cover how to use one’s memory to choose their best story, story structure for optimal impact, how to tell a story with confidence and tailor a story for any occasion.

Several panel discussions will be held throughout the day, featuring Chamber members with expertise in their topics. Topics will include strategies for acquiring new business and customers, understanding generations, strategies for managing burnout, strategies for successful networking, your own and your company’s branding strategy, and the importance of leadership development.

“Panel discussion topics are chosen by Chamber members and based on their relevance to today’s work and professional environment,” Rosen said.

The event’s live option is $99 for Chamber members and $149 for non-members, and the virtual option is $69 for members and $99 for non-members. Register at

Those who attend in person will enjoy morning coffee and lunch, table discussions and face-to-face networking, access to in-person and virtual showroom tours, and a copy of Telles’ co-authored How to Tell a Story, while supplies last. There will be a limit of 200 live attendees.

If attending virtually, participants will have access to all sessions, join panel discussions and connect with other virtual attendees, and have access to a virtual exhibit hall.

All attendees also have access to giveaways from exhibitors and three months of access so they can view unedited recordings of presentations on demand.

“Since some of our partners have global workforces, we offer a hybrid model, which enables them to participate from anywhere in the world,” Rosen said. “We will also be recording sessions throughout the day, and attendees can go back and watch anything they missed or want to watch again.”
