Buffalo, N.Y. — A Buffalo business was targeted by vandals late into the night after a small business Saturday.

The door at Black Monarchy on West Utica Street was smashed and in an Instagram post on Sunday, the owners said they were “shocked and heartbroken by the breach”.

2 On Your Side contacted Buffalo police to inquire about the investigation. We did not immediately hear back.

Black Monarchy said their flagship store will remain closed during repairs to ensure the safety of the community and staff.

“While we’re frustrated, even a little bit sad, by this unruly behavior, we’re not discouraged or discouraged, and we’ll build back better,” the owner said on Instagram.

“Sadly, several businesses have lived through this horrific tragedy and we are demanding answers and an outpouring of that same kindness to our community. This has to be a broader conversation. We look forward to engaging with local officials and supporting efforts to protect us all”
