Our Favorite Product Releases of the Week: Ember, Le Creuset, Onsen, and More

There are tons of great products coming out every week – and as always, we’re here to keep you updated on the best of them all. Every week, we put together a short list of our favorite products from the past 7 days for you to shop for your morning coffee or a quick break (trust, it’s the only list you’ll ever need to stay with the latest of these things).

This week launched Target’s latest designer collaborations, a new acne patch from Starface and some great new candles for fall. Of course, there are plenty of other great new products for shopping and gifting this season.

Shop our favorite new releases below, but hurry up—they easily sell out.

Ochre and Forest Spa Bathrobes

Ochre and Forest Spa Bathrobes

Just in time for the height of fall, Onsen has launched two new colorways for its best-selling waffle-woven robe: Delicate Ochre and Tranquil Forest. The robe is made from 100% Supima cotton, which gets softer with more use (and dries very quickly).

Target Designer Collaboration

We’ve been marking Target’s designer collaborations on our calendars long before telephone calendars existed (anyone remember Michael Graves’ novelty collaboration in 1999?). This fall’s version? Designs by Kika Vargas, La Ligne and Sergio Hudson. The result is over 100 accessories and apparel to choose from, whether you prefer structure and volume at Vargas, stripes and classic pieces at La Ligne, or retro 2022 styles at Hudson. Sizes range from XXS to 4XL, and most items sell for less than $40.

Spanx Perfect Jumpsuit

Spanx just launched The Perfect jumpsuit, which is ready to get you going this week and the rest of the season. This jumpsuit is made from a smooth fabric with a bit of sculpting at the core, as well as a V-neck and a pants-like bottom half (meaning you can wear a suit to work). It is available in petite, tall and regular inseam sizes XS – 3X.

Starface Black Star Acne Patch

Starface’s acne-fighting products, Hydro-Stars, are really popular, and the brand’s latest product is the Black Star, which is edgy enough to spend the night in Berlin, or cool enough to wear la la Marie Antoinette – whatever your mood is today. $12.99 per pack contains 32 hydrocolloid stars to help absorb fluids, reduce inflammation and reduce the appearance of spots.

Worm Oven Safe Skillet

Founded by brothers who took over their grandfather’s cast-iron foundry in Nagoya, Japan, Vermicular is dedicated to creating durable, heirloom-worthy cast-iron cookware—and its latest line of frying pans is all about great cooking, effortless elegance, and ultra-lightweight of lifts. The brand’s oven-safe frying pans are perfectly caramelized and crispy, and the largest of them weighs just 2.5 pounds. (Lodge’s famously over 7 pounds). The range is also dishwasher safe and features heat-resistant handles to reduce swearing in the kitchen.

Anecdote Candle 2023 Candle of the Year

Anecdote Candle 2023 Candle of the Year

Anecdotal candles are known for their wonderful scents and irreverent labels, and the brand’s just-launched 2023 candle really captures both cautious optimism and underlying fear as we head into the new year (you know, again, ). The fragrance is uplifting at least, even if the headlines aren’t: heady notes of orange and lemon, ginger flower and gilded amber, followed by tonka bean, clove and cedar.

Hackney House x Anthropology

If your winter vibe is moody, minimalist, boudoir-like glamour – think jewel tones, velvet and too many cushions – the Hackney House x Anthropologie collaboration is pretty exciting. The homeware collection has so much of it that it’s exactly what it should be: think clashing florals, busy prints, bright colors and (since we’re leaning towards late ’80s minimalism here) even lamp shades. The collection, which includes sugar bowls, wallpaper, bedding, ice buckets, and more, is available online and in stores, with wrapping paper rolls starting at $10.

New shades of pans and more for holiday and year-round use

Big Jones Holiday Sheet Pan

‘It’s baking season and a new wave of colorways and products have arrived via Great Jones, leaving us inspired and ready to knead, mix and spread. With prices ranging from $28 to $45, you’ll find new shades of Patty Cake and Breadwinner in Raspberry; Divine and Tiny Sheets in Mustard; and new Cauliflower in Big Chill Cooling Rack. Shipping in late November, just in time for all the holiday baking projects.

Le Creuset Rhone colorway

Calling Le Creuset’s new burgundy hue a burgundy wouldn’t be quite accurate, when in fact the latest hue from the coveted cookware brand is the Rhône, inspired by the dreamy Cote du Rhône in France. Painting area for wine lovers. Think a juicy deep red with gold knobs to complement the new shade. You can buy new shades in your preferred Le Creuset size and piece count

Not-so-basic black suitcase and new packing accessories

July Dark Fashion Collection

July’s new dark mode collection takes your basic black suitcases and adds a pop of color to them on the zipper, featuring yellow, red and blue accents – perfect for those who love black suitcases but want to be able to carry them in their luggage straps . You can choose from new bags in Carry On, Checked and Checked Plus styles, or the branded technical kits that protect wires and equipment and keep them organized.

There are also two new products with a dark mode option: Protect Cell, a fill-pack cube for products that need to be produced – think cameras and wine bottles (it has dividers). There’s also the accessory unit, which is a box designed for shoes with a handy clear top so you can see exactly which pair is inside.

Homesick Candle Harry Potter Collection

Homesick Candle Harry Potter Collection

Harry Potter fans, here’s a candle for you right now – it’s also perfect for gifting during the holidays. Homesick Candles just dropped a series of four candles, each linked to a different house in Hogwarts, for $44 each. They stick to the minimalist label the brand is known for, so it ties into your adult decor—and cutely, there’s even a Sorting Hat air freshener. Can’t decide, or don’t know what house your Harry Potter-loving friend is in? Pick up the Hogwarts 3-wick candle, scented with wet stone, cypress and fir needles.

Sniff x Half Harvest

Pumpkin spice is all a corny concept, but when we’re craving that seasonal scent, the version we’ll try first is a little different: Perfume maker Snif has teamed up with Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest for a non-toxic, vegan Half Roasted Pumpkin Crushed Candle, it’s not just gourds. Think top notes of whiskey, cardamom and cinnamon sticks and salty maple, and base notes of velvety musk, toasted chocolate, patchouli, Peruvian balsam, and more.

There is a waitlist at launch, so this limited edition candle may sell out quickly, but when it’s in stock, you can get it in an 8.5 oz size candle with a burn time of about 50 hours, or a 50 oz candle Large candles can burn more than 200 hours of burn time.

ember red edition

Ember is the latest brand to partner with (RED), the global wellness organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006, to launch one of its signature red products in partnership with the nonprofit. The temperature-controlled tea and coffee mugs will now be available in a limited-edition red version, and 3% of the purchase price of each piece sold will go to a global fund to help healthcare systems and make testing and treatment more equitable. It’s available in 10-ounce and 14-ounce sizes as a regular mug, as well as a travel mug.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5

Two top-of-the-line laptops just got an upgrade

Embargo new Microsoft Surface products

Microsoft

Microsoft’s Surface lineup includes some of the best laptops you can buy — the versatile Surface Pro 8 has long been our best 2-in-1 pick, while the more traditional Surface Laptop 4 has been our best bet for the past few years. One of my favorite laptops. Maybe that’s why the company is sticking with the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5: two attractive (if iterative) upgrades to two of the best PCs, and it’s available for pre-order now.
