Troy, Alabama. (WSFA) – An entertainment venue in Troy is closing its doors for good, less than a year after opening.
Kiss My Axe is a stylish way to pamper yourself and others, but since opening, the interest in the venue has not lived up to owner Matt Hayes’ expectations.
“We opened one in Dothan, Alabama, and this will be our second store,” Hayes said.
Any business startup is risky, Hayes said, advising communities to support local recreation before looking elsewhere.
He encouraged the public to check new businesses coming into your town.
“Help them get their initial income,” Hayes said.
When a business comes along, it creates opportunities for more people and can help small towns grow bigger, Hayes said.
You can still find the Axe entertainment venue in Dothan, while the Troy venue will close next week.
