American rapper Offset says he is “broken” by the death of his cousin and Migos bandmate Takeoff.

Police have yet to make any arrests following the Nov. 1 shooting.

Two weeks later, Offset shared a statement to his 20 million followers on Instagram, writing: “Dear Take, the pain you have left me is unbearable.

“My heart is broken and I have so much to say but I can’t find the right words.

“I’ve been falling asleep and waking up hoping it was all a dream, but it’s reality and reality is like a nightmare.

“I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time.”

Offset, who is married to rapper Cardi B, went on to say that “people with souls like yours are in heaven right now.”

The 30-year-old continued: “I hope you can see how much we love and miss you.

“You left a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Give me strength, strength to your brothers, strength to your family.

“Even though I know you’ll always be with us, please give me a little sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and beyond.”

Takeoff is the youngest of the Migos trio.

Offset’s statement came after Quavo, 31, delivered a lengthy eulogy over the weekend, calling his nephew “our angel”.

The group’s record label, Quality Control Music, Rapper killed by ‘stray bullet’ and condemns ‘senseless violence’.

After his death, Hundreds of fans gather to remember the rapper In Atlanta, near where he grew up.

Rap musicians including Dave, Kid Cudi, Khalid and Ja Rule were on hand to pay their respects.
