In 2017, CNN reporter Thomas Lake received a call from a circus singer who told an unbelievably crazy story: James Brown didn’t die of natural causes in 2006; instead, the soul The godfather was murdered. After months of phone calls from the circus singer, Lake decided to fly to Chicago to meet Jacques Holland in person. There, Jacques proved her connection to James Brown and showed Lake a videotape of a polygraph test she took in 1995 by a former FBI agent.
