Thieves raid woman’s wallet, steal car from Memphis hospital, police say

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WMC) — The Memphis Police Department is looking for a suspect responsible for raiding a woman’s purse in a hospital bathroom and stealing her car.

According to MPD, a woman arrived at Baptist Memorial Hospital around 12:20 a.m. Sunday and went to the bathroom. After 20 minutes, she left the bathroom to find that she had forgotten her wallet.

When she went back to get it, she found that all her things had been stolen.

The victim told police that the suspect took her car keys, ID and about $200.

She also reported that her car, a Nissan Altima, had disappeared when she went out looking for it, police said.
