Two Springfield businesses to open small businesses Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, IL (WCIA) — Two new businesses in downtown Springfield will open Saturday at Small Business.

Ad Astra Wine Bar and Market is a wine bar that offers wine as well as light meal options such as cheese boards and pastries. Ad Astra will also be selling wine by the bottle in their marketplace.

Any words to describe how I feel when I finally see customers drinking our wine, and
Eat our handpicked food,” says Kristina Barbee, owner of Ad Astra. “It’s not just a dream come true, I can’t wait for the entire Springfield area to experience it. “

Wildly Rooted Boutique is a store selling women’s clothing, children’s clothing and home decor. The three co-owners have all met at different pop-up stores in the city.

The store will also offer classes and workshops, officials said.

The two businesses are adjacent on Adams Street, with Ad Astra at 306 S. Adams and Wildly Rooted Boutique at 308 S. Adams.

The Springfield City Center Corporation has planned to cut the ribbon for two institutions: Ad Astra at 10 a.m. and Wildly Rooted at 1 p.m.
