Memphis, Tennessee (September 25, 2022) – The USF Bulls (6-8, 0-2 AAC) ended their first weekend meeting in a five-set clash Sunday night in Memphis (11-4, 0-2 AAC).
South Florida and Memphis had a tug-of-war until the end, but the Tigers won at home 25-20, 16-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-13.
outside hitter Marta Cvitkovic (Croatia’s Rijeka) beat the Bulls with 18 kills and another double-double with 10 digs. Maria Clara Andrade (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had her fifth double-double of the season with 10 kills, tying her career-high 20 assists.
Amelie Hendricks-Walker (Los Angeles, Calif.) posted a career-high eight total blocks. Allie Barnhart (Lenexa, Kansas) tied her previous career high of nine blocks while also posting 10 kills at .667. Barnhart nearly had her first double-double of the season.
CC Clausen (Woodlands, Texas) started a new career with 15 assists.Clausen and Andrade lead the backline with 20 digs each Tatiana Johnson (Frederick, MD) 13 digs. Kelsey O’Loughlin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had 33 assists.

On August 8, 2020, Shepardson led the Bulls to their last conference championship and NCAA tournament in 2002 as a student-athlete. The last time USF played in the playoffs was in 2018, with 20 wins and an appearance at NIVC. Since its inception in 1972, USF volleyball has competed in the NCAA tournament seven times and won 12 conference titles, entering its 50th game in the 2021-22 season. The Bulls play at The Corral (1,000) near the Cloud Ridge Center on the USF campus.
