Venture Capital Center Promotes Daniel Schutte to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

The Venture Capital Hub has hired Daniel Schutte as vice president of strategic partnerships.

Schutter oversaw the venture center’s fintech program from 2018 to 2020 and served as managing director of the fintech accelerator program from 2020 to June 2022. In his newly created role, Schutte will be responsible for establishing additional accelerators, corporate innovation and economic development programs to help maximize the venture capital hub’s impact.

The Venture Hub’s fintech program includes the globally recognized FIS Accelerator, which provides fintech entrepreneurs with mentorship from experts in the field, as well as in-depth access to the FIS network. Launched in 2016, the program has graduated 70 alumni, 90% of whom are still active or have been acquired.

Prior to joining The Venture Center in 2018, Shute was the founder and CEO of several technology companies in the fintech and entertainment sectors, and prior to that he was the vice president of a family-owned commercial printing business.
