Steelers vs. Patriots score: Live updates, game stats, highlights of NFL Week 2 AFC showdown

PITTSBURGH – We’re doing it at Acrisure Stadium as the only team in the NFL with six Lombardi trophies will play in Week 2 of the NFL regular season. After 30 minutes of play, the Patriots led 10-3 in the first half on a 44-yard touchdown catch by Nelson Agholor with 22 seconds left at halftime.

After the Steelers opened with a punt, the Patriots (postponing after winning the coin toss) took an early lead on Nick Fokker’s 28-yard field goal. Both teams then made interceptions and Minkah Fitzpatrick’s pick Mac Jones set up Chris Boswell’s 36-yard field goal. The two teams exchanged punts before Jones hit Agrol just before halftime.

All but one of Jones’ 10 first-half passes went to Agholor or Jakobi Myers, who caught a team-high five in the first half of the game. Jones beat Pittsburgh quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who had his first turnover of the year when he was eliminated by Jalen Mills late in the first quarter.
